Johnstown man pleads guilty to distributing fentanyl and crack cocaine

A Johnstown, Pennsylvania resident has admitted to federal charges involving the possession and distribution of fentanyl and crack cocaine. Che Rose, 39, entered a guilty plea to one count of a superseding indictment before United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan on December 2, 2025.

According to information presented in court, Rose was involved in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute mixtures containing fentanyl and cocaine base—commonly known as crack—from April 2024 through June 2024 within the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Sentencing for Rose is set for April 1, 2026. He faces a potential maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine that could reach $1 million. The actual sentence will be determined by the seriousness of the offense and any prior criminal history.

First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti made the announcement regarding the plea. Assistant United States Attorney Arnold P. Bernard Jr. is prosecuting the case for the government.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Laurel Highlands Resident Agency’s Safe Streets Task Force together with the Cambria County Drug Task Force.
