The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced 100 additional environmental accomplishments, bringing the total to 300 since President Donald Trump took office. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin highlighted these achievements, which include a proposed rule defining "waters of the United States" (WOTUS), and completing 100 days of testing Tijuana-San Diego wastewater projects as part of a U.S.-Mexico Memorandum of Understanding.

Zeldin said, "We are thrilled to announce another 100 top accomplishments from the last 100 days in our mission to meet our statutory duties and defend human health and environmental quality." He emphasized that the agency's efforts align with President Trump's agenda to drive down prices, unleash American energy, and advance permitting reform.

Among the recent actions, the EPA has secured borders from illegal pesticides through enforcement actions and led emergency response efforts nationwide. The agency has also issued guidance for prescribed fires and streamlined chemical risk notifications for over 3,000 companies.

Additionally, the EPA concluded enforcement cases reducing nearly 86 million pounds of pollution and hosted a webinar on lead hazards attended by almost 400 officials. Other initiatives include distributing $86.2 million for Hurricane Helene recovery funds and collaborating with FEMA on flood risk reduction projects.

In New England, the EPA signed regulatory actions under the Clean Air Act and approved water systems addressing PFAS contamination in New Jersey. The agency also responded to emergencies such as a fire in Gorham, New York, by establishing air monitoring plans.

These accomplishments reflect ongoing efforts by the EPA to protect human health and the environment while promoting economic growth.
