Rodney Scott, the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), shared several statements on social media in mid-December 2025 highlighting his agency's efforts and approach to border security.
On December 15, Scott posted: "The most secure border in history, and we're just getting started. @RealTomHoman https://t.co/jI2XHv5Ho3".
The following day, he reiterated CBP’s mission focus with another post: "CBP is one team, focused on one mission. At the border, in between and at the ports of entry, in the sky and in the sea, CBP stands united in making America safe again. https://t.co/R18W0DnUP6".
Later on December 16, Scott addressed common perceptions about border security: "When people think about border security, they often think about the illegal crossing between the ports of entry. But here at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, our dedicated CBP officers are hard at work inspecting what’s coming into and out of our country. https://t.co/ZK3yrZO0aw".
Scott has led CBP since 2020 as part of ongoing federal efforts to strengthen U.S. borders through technology upgrades and expanded personnel deployments. The San Ysidro Port of Entry mentioned by Scott is recognized as one of the busiest land border crossings globally.
