U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement details arrests and operations in multiple states

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted a series of updates on January 6, 2026, detailing recent enforcement actions and highlighting ongoing partnerships with state agencies.

In one post, ICE Boston announced the arrest of Mastrangelo Ferreira in Hyannis, Massachusetts. According to the agency's statement from January 6, 2026: "3 COUNTS INDECENT ASSAULT & BATTERY

ICE Boston arrested Mastrangelo Ferreira, a previously removed criminal illegal alien from Brazil, in Hyannis, MA.

Illegally reentering after removal is a felony on its own, but he also faces three counts of indecent assault and battery."

Later that day, ICE reported an operation in Minnesota's Twin Cities area. The agency described it as their largest operation to date and warned individuals involved in criminal activity or fraud. On January 6, 2026, ICE stated: "A 100% chance of ICE in the Twin Cities — our largest operation to date.

If you're a criminal illegal alien and/or you are engaged in fraud, expect a visit from ICE."

Additionally, ICE highlighted Florida's involvement with the federal agency’s 287(g) program. In its January 6 post: "Florida has been one of our strongest #287g allies in arresting and deporting criminal illegal aliens.

Is your state partnered with ICE through our 287(g) program?" The 287(g) program allows designated local law enforcement officers to collaborate with ICE by performing certain immigration enforcement functions under federal supervision.

The posts reflect ongoing efforts by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement—an agency responsible for enforcing federal laws governing border control and immigration—to publicize its operations targeting individuals accused or convicted of crimes who are also present unlawfully in the United States.
