Modern Warrior has announced a voluntary recall of all lots of its dietary supplement, Modern Warrior Ready, after regulatory testing found undeclared ingredients in the product. The affected supplement was sold directly to consumers nationwide between April 2022 and December 8, 2025.

Testing identified the presence of tianeptine, 1,4-DMAA, and aniracetam in the recalled product. Tianeptine is not approved for use in dietary supplements by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to the company’s statement: "Tianeptine can cause life-threatening events including suicidal ideation or behavior in children, adolescents, and adults aged 25 years and younger. In addition, overdose carries serious and potentially life-threatening risks including confusion, seizures, drowsiness, dry mouth, and shortness of breath, which can be exacerbated by alcohol use. Using tianeptine in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOl) antidepressants could lead to life-threatening complications including stroke and death."

The company also highlighted risks associated with other undeclared substances: "Use of 1,4-DMAA can elevate blood pressure and could lead to cardiovascular problems, including heart attack, shortness of breath and tightening of the chest. Products containing synephrine are reported to potentially result in cardiovascular effects, including increased heart rate and blood pressure, especially in the presence of caffeine."

Modern Warrior Ready was distributed online in black plastic bottles featuring gold labeling under the Modern Warrior brand. The product label displays “Body Repair Plan” as well as “READY” with a sunrise icon and indicates a quantity of 60 capsules.

In response to these findings, Modern Warrior has stopped distribution of the supplement and removed it from sale. All remaining inventory has been quarantined to prevent further distribution.

Consumers who purchased Modern Warrior Ready are advised to discontinue use immediately.
