Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul to address several international issues. The leaders also discussed ongoing efforts to promote peace between Russia and Ukraine.
During their talks, Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Wadephul emphasized the need to prevent Iran from developing or acquiring nuclear weapons. Both officials confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation between the United States and Germany in these areas.
