Rochester man sentenced to ten years for new child pornography offense

Marcobrien S. Volcy, 28, of Rochester, New York, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo. Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford handed down the sentence.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelyn M. Hartford, Volcy had previously pleaded guilty in August 2023 in Monroe County Court to possessing a sexual performance by a child less than 16 years old and received a sentence of one to three years in prison. While on probation for this conviction on January 19, 2024, Volcy was found with a cell phone containing more than 650 images and videos of child pornography, including material involving prepubescent children.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Philip Tejera.
