Jamestown man sentenced to over three years for role in drug conspiracy

Jacob Snow, a 39-year-old resident of Jamestown, New York, has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for his involvement in a narcotics conspiracy. The sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti stated that between January and May 24, 2021, Snow conspired with Alisha A. Klinger and others to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine in the Jamestown area. Snow was responsible for selling drugs and collecting payments on behalf of Klinger.

On May 24, 2021, an individual who had taken approximately $10,000 worth of heroin/fentanyl and methamphetamine from Snow the previous day was kidnapped at gunpoint and driven to a wooded area. There, the individual was assaulted multiple times, including by Snow. During the incident, when asked if the individual should be killed, Snow replied: “no, I think we should give her the opportunity to pay that back.”

Charges against Klinger are still pending.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America. According to the press release: "Operation Take Back America is a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN)."

The investigation involved cooperation among several agencies: the Jamestown Police Department led by Chief Timothy Jackson; the Drug Enforcement Administration under Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the New York Field Division; and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff James Quattrone.
