Gerber Products Company has announced a voluntary recall of certain batches of its Arrowroot Biscuits due to the possible presence of soft plastic or paper pieces in the product. The issue was traced back to an arrowroot flour supplier, which had previously initiated its own recall. Gerber stated that it has since ended its relationship with this supplier.
The recall affects specific 5.5oz packages of Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits produced between July and September 2025, and is being implemented nationwide across the United States. Other Gerber products are not included in this recall.
Batch codes for affected products can be found on the back of the packaging. Consumers are advised not to feed these biscuits to children and may return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
According to Gerber, "While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we are acting out of an abundance of caution following a recall from the supplier. We are working closely with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and will cooperate fully throughout their review."
The company also stated, "The quality, safety and integrity of our products remain our highest priority, and we take this responsibility seriously. We sincerely apologize for any concerns or inconvenience this action causes for parents, caregivers and retail customers."
