The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Senator John Cornyn for re-election to the United States Senate representing Texas. The organization, which advocates for small and independent businesses across the country, cited Cornyn’s record on issues important to business owners.
“For more than 80 years, NFIB has fought to protect America’s small and independent businesses, and Sen. John Cornyn has been a consistent and reliable partner in that mission,” said Jeff Burdett, NFIB Texas State Director. “He understands that small businesses are the backbone of our economy and has stood with NFIB members on our core priorities: lower taxes, fewer regulations, and policies that allow job creators to grow and thrive. NFIB’s FedPAC is proud to endorse Sen. Cornyn for re-election, and we look forward to continuing our work together on behalf of Texas small businesses.”
Louis Bertolotti, Acting Political Director at NFIB, also expressed support for Cornyn’s candidacy. “We are pleased to endorse Sen. Cornyn for re-election today,” Bertolotti said. “He has been a consistent voice for Texas small businesses and stood with small business owners across the country to ensure the 20% Small Business Deduction was made permanent. We are thankful for his strong pro-Main Street voting record and look forward to continuing to work together.”
The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the political action committee of the organization. According to NFIB, FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions from its members beyond their regular dues. The committee’s decisions are managed through a grassroots evaluation process led by members.
