U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement details recent removals of non-citizen offenders

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted a series of updates on its official X account in early February 2026, highlighting recent enforcement actions involving non-citizens with criminal records and promoting resources for law enforcement agencies.

On February 9, 2026, ICE announced the removal of an individual from Florida described as a Cuban national facing multiple charges. According to the agency's post, "CUBAN CRIMINAL ALIEN WITH TWO HOMICIDE CHARGES REMOVED FROM FLORIDA STREETS On top of TWO counts of homicide, this public safety threat's criminal record is even longer: —AGGRAVATED ASSAULT W/A WEAPON —POSSESSION OF STOLEN VEHICLE & PROPERTY —RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY —DRUG".

The following day, on February 10, 2026, ICE shared information about another case involving Yefry Abrahan Andino Diaz. The agency wrote, "—WILLFUL HOMICIDE —ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY —CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT ATTEMPTED —MURDER Yefry Abrahan Andino Diaz, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, also has a pending charge for attempted homicide."

Later that same day, ICE promoted its Law Enforcement Support Center as a resource for police nationwide. The agency stated in its post dated February 10: "To help law enforcement nationwide arrest and remove criminal aliens, ICE’s Law Enforcement Support Center provides: Timely immigration and identity info Real-time assistance when encountering illegal aliens suspected, arrested or convicted of crimes (802) 872-6020".

The Law Enforcement Support Center (LESC), operated by ICE since 1994, assists federal, state and local law enforcement agencies by providing immigration status information and other data related to individuals encountered during investigations or arrests. LESC operates around the clock to support officers across the country with real-time assistance in identifying individuals' immigration status and potential threats to public safety.
