Rebecca Ann Folley, also known as Becca Waters, was sentenced to seven months in prison and three years of supervised release for making threats against Presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump. The sentencing was announced by United States Attorney Ken Sorenson.

Folley, 49, of Honolulu, Hawaii, had been in custody from April 3, 2025, until November 6, 2025. She received credit for time served. As part of her supervised release, she is required to participate in mental health and drug treatment programs. In October 2025, Folley pleaded guilty under a plea agreement.

Court records show that on March 2, 2024, Folley used her “Becca Waters” Facebook account to post: “Going to kill the president […].” Later, on January 30, 2025, she threatened former President Trump by tagging a post on Honolulu City and County Councilman Tommy Waters’s Facebook page with the message: “LETS SEE IF THIS WILL TRIGGER THE GOVERNMENTAL RED FLAGS, AS TO REACH FEDERAL OFFICE’S OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII. 1/30/2025…” She included screenshots stating: “I AM GOING TO BLOW UP THE WHITEHOUSE AND KILL THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” On February 3, 2025, she posted again: “YUP, EVERYONE, PLEASE LOOK AT MY BEAUTIFUL PUBLIC PRESIDENTIAL DEATH THREATS AND PUBLIC THREATS TO BLOW UP The White House BECAUSE I CAN LEGALLY GET AWAY WITH IT…”

The United States Secret Service led the investigation into the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Darren W.K. Ching prosecuted the matter.
