Heart ‘n Home named Small Business of the Week by Chair Joni Ernst

Chair Joni Ernst has recognized Heart ‘n Home as the Small Business of the Week for Pocahontas County, Iowa. This recognition is part of her ongoing effort to highlight small businesses in each of Iowa’s 99 counties during this session of Congress.

“One arrangement at a time, Heart ‘n Home brings warmth and creativity to Pocahontas County,” said Chair Ernst. “As she has created memorable moments for folks across the community, Julie’s passion for crafting and her ‘couture arrangements’ have helped business bloom.”

Julie Wurr founded Heart ‘n Home in 1991 after being inspired by her grandmother’s advice: “Happy hands make happy hearts.” The business began as a garage-based floral shop and has since grown into a retail store known for its artistic floral designs. Over the years, Heart ‘n Home has developed a reputation as both a floral studio and boutique that offers home decor, silk and dried arrangements, gourmet food items, and unique gifts.

The Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee provides nonpartisan budgetary analysis through oversight of the Congressional Budget Office. It also supports informed decision-making on national fiscal priorities and contributes to the congressional budget process through resolutions and reconciliation instructions. More information about these functions can be found on the committee's official website.

Chair Ernst will continue recognizing other notable small businesses across Iowa with her weekly award.
