Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Washington, DC, according to a statement from Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott.

During the meeting, Secretary Rubio expressed appreciation for Pakistan's support of President Trump's Peace Plan for Gaza and its role as a founding member in the inaugural Board of Peace meeting. He also extended condolences for the attacks that took place on January 31 in Balochistan and the February 6 bombing in Islamabad.
