U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported the arrest of several individuals over the weekend who were previously convicted of serious crimes, including sexual assault of minors, rape, assault, and battery. The announcement came as President Trump and Secretary Noem met with families affected by crimes committed by undocumented immigrants at the White House.

Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis stated, “While Americans were enjoying their weekends, the heroic men and women of ICE were working around the clock to get the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens out of our country, including pedophiles, rapists, and violent assailants. Sanctuary politicians and the media ignore the victims of criminal illegal alien crime. Today, President Trump and Secretary Noem met with Angel families and victims at the White House. These victims and their families are why we continue to fight for the arrest and removal of illegal aliens from our communities.”

The arrests included individuals from Mexico, Grenada, Ecuador, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Charges against those arrested ranged from aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child to aggravated vehicular hijacking with a weapon.

ICE highlighted that these operations aim to remove individuals convicted of violent offenses from U.S. communities. More information about public safety threats arrested in various communities can be found on their official webpage at https://wow.dhs.gov/.
