Bradenton man found guilty of distributing methamphetamine in Florida

A federal jury in Fort Myers has convicted Alejandro Marquetti-Blanco, 34, of Bradenton, for distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the verdict.

Testimony and evidence presented during the trial showed that Marquetti-Blanco provided one pound of methamphetamine to a co-conspirator. That individual then supplied the drugs to another co-conspirator, who ultimately sold them to an undercover agent from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Port Charlotte.

Marquetti-Blanco now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison, with a maximum possible sentence of life. The sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.

The case was investigated by the DEA and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Mark Morgan and Benjamin Winter.
