Lockout Supplements recalls chocolate syrup due to undeclared sildenafil

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Lockout Supplements has announced a voluntary nationwide recall of all lots of Boner Bears Chocolate Syrup after discovering the product contains sildenafil, an ingredient not declared on its label.

Sildenafil is the active component in Viagra, a prescription drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating erectile dysfunction. Its use is restricted to supervision by licensed healthcare professionals. The presence of undeclared sildenafil in over-the-counter products poses health risks, especially for individuals taking medications containing nitrates, such as nitroglycerin, since the combination can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure. People with conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease are often prescribed nitrates.

According to Lockout Supplements, no adverse events have been reported so far related to this recall.

The issue was identified through monitoring notifications published by the FDA regarding sexual enhancement and energy products. "If a product that Lockout Supplements is offering ever appears on this notification page it is immediately removed from our catalog," stated the company.

Boner Bears Chocolate Syrup is marketed as a sexual enhancement product and comes packaged in single-dose plastic tubes. The recall affects all lots distributed between January 1, 2025 and February 13, 2026 that were associated with Lockout Supplements. The product can be identified by its name and UPC code 000856683570 and was sold nationwide through lockoutsupplements.com.

Lockout Supplements has notified customers via its website and is organizing returns of recalled products for full refunds upon request. Customers are advised to stop using Boner Bears Chocolate Syrup and either return it to the place of purchase or dispose of it.

Consumers who experience any problems potentially related to this product should consult their physician or healthcare provider. Adverse reactions or quality issues may also be reported directly to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online, by mail or fax.

Questions about the recall can be directed to Lockout Supplements at 972-548-1988 or glenn@lockoutforums.com during business hours Monday through Friday.
