Afton man sentenced to 10 years for methamphetamine possession

An Afton man, Zackery True Huddleston, 38, has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell also ordered four years of supervised release following his imprisonment.

The case began in June 2025 when Bixby Police responded to a car accident involving injuries. Witnesses reported that a man, later identified as Huddleston, left the scene on foot. Officers pursued and detained him after a chase through a neighborhood. During booking, Huddleston reportedly became emotional and said, “I don’t want to go back to prison.” When asked why he would return to prison, he replied, “the dope.” Officers then searched his vehicle and found over a pound of methamphetamine along with his driver’s license and marijuana card.

Huddleston has previously pleaded guilty in several state cases for felonies such as manufacturing controlled substances, possessing a stolen vehicle, and second-degree burglary. Records show that when he received suspended sentences in the past, they were revoked due to non-compliance.

Huddleston will remain in custody until he is transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

The investigation was conducted by the Broken Arrow Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney George Jiang prosecuted the case.

“I don’t want to go back to prison,” stated Huddleston during booking procedures according to officers present at the scene.
