Lebanon man receives over 11 years in prison for drug and firearm charges

A Lebanon County resident, Angel Lopez-Guzman, 38, has been sentenced to 138 months in prison for drug trafficking and firearms offenses. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson.

According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, Lopez-Guzman traveled from Lebanon to Scranton to purchase a kilogram of cocaine intended for distribution in the Lebanon area. Law enforcement stopped him as he returned to Lebanon and, after obtaining a search warrant, found both the kilogram of cocaine and a handgun in the trunk of his car.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Lebanon County Drug Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Michael Scalera prosecuted the case.
