Monroe County man receives 15-year sentence for methamphetamine distribution

Jackie A. Johnson, a 40-year-old resident of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentencing took place on March 5, 2026, and was handed down by Senior United States District Judge Malachy E. Mannion.

United States Attorney Brian D. Miller stated that Johnson sold more than 200 grams of pure methamphetamine to an undercover State Police Trooper in the Stroudsburg area between March 19 and April 17, 2024. At the time of these offenses, Johnson was already under federal supervised release following a previous conviction for heroin trafficking that led to a five-year prison sentence.

Johnson is also awaiting a hearing regarding potential violations of his supervised release related to the recent methamphetamine sales. This hearing could result in additional prison time.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Jenny P. Roberts prosecuted the case.
