Mickyeem Profit, a 22-year-old from Bridgeport, was sentenced on March 11 to 102 months in prison and three years of supervised release for his role in several violent armed robberies of retail stores and an Amazon delivery truck in December 2022, according to United States Attorney David X. Sullivan.

The sentencing highlights the consequences faced by individuals involved in violent crimes against businesses and delivery services. The case drew attention due to the use of firearms and threats against employees and drivers during the robberies.

Court documents show that Profit, along with others, carried out gunpoint robberies at Omega Deli in Bridgeport on December 15, Milford Convenience & Tobacco in Milford on December 21, an Amazon delivery truck in Bridgeport on December 23, and Smoke Shop in Bridgeport also on December 23. Additionally, associates of Profit robbed Cumberland Farms in Stratford at gunpoint on January 2, 2023. During these incidents, victims were threatened with firearms, forced to the ground, and had money or property stolen. At one location, Profit stepped on a victim while holding a gun to her head; during the Amazon truck robbery, he and his accomplices forced the driver into the back of the vehicle at gunpoint before assaulting him.

Profit has been detained since his arrest on January 2, 2023. He pleaded guilty on October 2, 2025 to interference with commerce by robbery (Hobbs Act robbery) and carrying, using, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation along with police departments from Bridgeport, Stratford, and Milford. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathaniel J. Gentile is prosecuting the case.

This sentencing serves as a reminder of law enforcement's efforts to address violent crimes targeting local businesses and service providers.
