House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer requested on March 13 that Tova Noel, a Metropolitan Correctional Center prison guard who was on duty when Jeffrey Epstein died, appear for a transcribed interview scheduled for March 26.

The request is part of the committee's ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Epstein's death. The committee has been conducting interviews with individuals connected to the case in order to gather more information about events at the correctional facility and related matters.

So far, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has interviewed several key figures, including former Attorney General Bill Barr, former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, Ghislaine Maxwell, Les Wexner, former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Richard Kahn. In addition to these interviews, a deposition with Darren Indyke is scheduled for March 19.

The committee's actions reflect continued congressional interest in understanding all aspects of Epstein's death while in federal custody. The outcome of these interviews may provide further insight into oversight practices at federal detention centers.

Further developments are expected as additional witnesses are called and more information becomes available.
