CBP AMO reports marine unit operations and border agent rescue in recent posts

CBP Air and Marine Operations (AMO) shared updates on several recent enforcement and rescue activities through its official X account.

On March 16, CBP AMO reported that its Fort Lauderdale Marine Unit agents had conducted a nighttime documentation check three days earlier. According to the post, "CAUGHT RIDIN DIRTY! On March 13, Fort Lauderdale Marine Unit agents conducted a nighttime documentation check on a Florida-registered vessel resembling a Rolls Royce at Alsdorf Park, Pompano Beach. Two male occupants were found without the necessary documentation to be present" (posted March 16, 2026).

Later that day, CBP AMO acknowledged efforts by its teams in another operation. The agency stated, "Great work by all our crews to stop this human smuggling attempt!" (posted March 16, 2026).

On March 17, CBP AMO highlighted an emergency response carried out by its San Diego Air and Marine Branch. The agency wrote, "Blackhawk Crew Executes Daring Hoist Extraction of Injured Border Patrol Agent in El Centro!

Yesterday, a San Diego Air and Marine Branch UH-60 Blackhawk crew responded to an injured El Centro Sector Border Patrol Agent. Due to challenging terrain and a possible broken" (posted March 17, 2026).
