U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested several criminal illegal aliens on Mar. 18, including individuals convicted of serious offenses such as child molestation, incest, sexual assault of a child, attempted rape, and drug trafficking.

The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by ICE to remove individuals with criminal backgrounds from the United States. The agency reported that nearly 70 percent of illegal aliens arrested under the Trump administration have pending criminal charges or prior convictions in the country.

Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said, “Yesterday, the heroic men and women of ICE arrested child predators, sex criminals, drug traffickers and other despicable criminals, including one sick individual convicted for second-degree child molestation and second-degree incest. These monsters have no place in this country. Under President Trump, if you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you and arrest you. The safety of the American people comes FIRST.”

Among those arrested were Gabriel Garcia-Tapia from Mexico, convicted for second-degree child molestation and second-degree incest in Yakima, Washington; Jose Ordaz-Sanchez from Mexico, convicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child in Dallas County, Texas; Hugo Rene Monroy-Giron from Guatemala, convicted for attempted rape in Fairfax, Virginia; Francisco Torres-Angulo from Mexico, convicted for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in Arizona; and Kristian Naveda-Cabrera from Venezuela, convicted for criminal possession of a firearm in Brooklyn, New York.
