Anthony A. Moore, a 49-year-old man from Jefferson County, Missouri, pleaded guilty on Mar. 19 in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of receipt of child pornography.
Moore admitted to engaging in sex acts with a victim who was 13 years old at the time, beginning in 2023 when he was 46. The crimes came to light after the victim’s father found communications between Moore and his daughter on her cell phone, including requests from Moore for nude photos. Investigators also found images of the victim on Moore’s phone.
Both prosecutors and defense have agreed to recommend a sentence of 20 years in prison at Moore’s sentencing scheduled for June 24.
The case was investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts among federal, state, and local agencies.
