U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced on Mar. 19 that it will hold a three-day, in-person career expo in San Antonio from March 24 to 26. The event is designed for job seekers interested in learning about the agency’s mission, available positions, and the application process.
The expo aims to attract individuals looking for challenging careers with opportunities for growth and a strong sense of purpose. Attendees will be able to meet CBP recruiters who can answer questions and provide guidance on applications, resumes, and interviews. While onsite application submissions will be accepted, no interviews or job offers will be made during the event.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to register in advance, prepare questions, review their resumes, and bring a digital copy of their resume on their phone since paper copies will not be accepted.
Expo hours are:
- March 24: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central
- March 25: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central
- March 26: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central
CBP is recruiting for various mission-critical roles in law enforcement and operations support such as Air Interdiction Agent, Border Patrol Agent, Criminal Investigator, Customs and Border Protection Officer, Marine Interdiction Agent, General Attorney, among others. The agency offers training programs, competitive pay packages, robust benefits, and opportunities for continuous learning and advancement. New officers and agents may qualify for up to $60,000 in incentive payments at certain locations. All applicants must comply with federal hiring regulations and U.S. citizenship is required.
