Robert Clark, a 45-year-old resident of Ohio, was charged on Mar. 31 in U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia with distribution of child pornography, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.
The charges stem from communications that began on Feb. 2, 2026, when Clark allegedly engaged with another user on a fetish website and expressed sexual interest in children. The other user told Clark he had a young daughter, after which Clark is accused of asking the user to record himself sexually abusing his daughter.
Court documents state that during these interactions, Clark distributed eleven videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, including one video involving a toddler. After sending one video, Clark allegedly encouraged the other user by saying, “U should try that with ur daughter.”
The case is being investigated by the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Kelley.
This prosecution falls under Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in February 2006 by the Department of Justice to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. Project Safe Childhood coordinates federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet as well as identify victims.
Authorities remind the public that charges in a complaint are allegations only; every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
