The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Indiana Political Action Committee endorsed 26 candidates for seats in the Indiana General Assembly on Apr. 6. The endorsements include 13 candidates each for the Indiana Senate and House of Representatives.

The NFIB Indiana PAC is made up entirely of NFIB members from across the state, and its support is determined by a candidate’s stance and record on issues important to small businesses. The organization said that a second round of endorsements will be announced ahead of the general election.

“On behalf of Indiana’s small business community, we are proud to endorse these pro-small business candidates for the upcoming primary election,” said NFIB Indiana State Director Natalie Carroll. “As small employers continue to manage the rising costs that come with running a business, it’s critical that we elect candidates who will focus on growing the economy and strengthening Indiana’s labor market. We are confident that this group of candidates will be reliable small business advocates in Indianapolis.”

Among those endorsed for Senate seats are Dan Dernulc (SD 1), Rick Niemeyer (SD 6), Linda Rogers (SD 11), Liz Brown (SD 15), Travis Holdman (SD 19), Jim Buck (SD 21), Spencer Deery (SD 23), Mike Gaskill (SD 25), Scott Alexander (SD 26), Jeff Rattz (SD 27), Greg Goode (SD 38), Randy Maxwell (SD 43) and Jim Tomes (SD 49).
