Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent met with Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Jadaan on Apr. 15 to discuss ongoing economic cooperation between the United States and Saudi Arabia.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and highlighted progress on several joint initiatives. Both officials emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between their countries.
During the meeting, Bessent and al-Jadaan signed a Tax Information Exchange Agreement, marking a step forward in financial transparency efforts. The agreement aims to enhance information sharing between the two nations' tax authorities.
Bessent also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s resilience and cooperation since the start of the Iranian conflict, thanking al-Jadaan for his country’s partnership.
The discussions reflect ongoing efforts by both governments to maintain stability and advance shared economic interests.
