Jordan Jamison, also known as "J" and "JO," was sentenced on April 27 to 144 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl and cocaine, according to David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. U.S. District Judge Vernon D. Oliver also ordered Jamison to pay a $350,000 fine.
Authorities said an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration New Haven District Office Task Force found that Jamison and an associate trafficked fentanyl and cocaine into Waterbury, using locations in Naugatuck and Waterbury to store, package, and distribute narcotics through a network of street-level sellers.
Investigators reported that on February 5, 2025, Jamison traveled with his associate to California where they attempted to mail a package containing about one kilogram of fentanyl and three kilograms of cocaine from Monterey Park back to Connecticut. The package was seized by investigators. On February 11, 2025, authorities searched the Naugatuck stash location and found approximately 5.4 kilograms of fentanyl, 1.4 kilograms of cocaine packaged for distribution, and over 300 grams of xylazine—an animal tranquilizer used as a fentanyl additive.
Jamison has been detained since his arrest on February 13, 2025. He pleaded guilty on January 29, 2026 to conspiracy charges involving more than 400 grams of fentanyl and more than 500 grams of cocaine.
In April 2020 he was previously sentenced in New Haven federal court for heroin trafficking connected with another Waterbury-based narcotics ring.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Brendan J. Keefe and Natasha M. Freismuth following an investigation conducted by multiple agencies including the DEA New Haven District Office Task Force—with support from several local police departments—as well as assistance from agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
