Keiron Jashua Williams, age 23, from Deltona, was sentenced on Apr. 28 to 15 years in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release for attempting to entice a minor into sexual activity. U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber issued the sentence after Williams pleaded guilty on November 19, 2025. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.
Court documents show that in June 2025, an undercover detective with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office posed online as a 13-year-old girl. Williams began messaging this account and continued communicating after learning he was speaking with someone he believed to be underage. The conversations became sexually explicit.
Williams traveled to Marion County on July 5, 2025, intending to meet the minor for sexual activity and was arrested at the location. A search of his vehicle found an unopened box of condoms, a video game system, and marijuana that he had brought for the meeting.
The case was investigated by both the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sarah Janette Swartzberg.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts among federal, state, and local agencies.
