U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced on Apr. 28 that its Office of Chief Counsel will hold a Virtual Career Expo for prospective attorneys on May 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. eastern time.
The event aims to inform those interested in legal careers about opportunities within CBP, which is responsible for securing the nation’s borders and facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
During the expo, recruiters and professional staff will be available to answer questions about the hiring process and other topics. The agency said no interviews or job offers will be made during this informational event. Early access to the event lobby is available for registered participants, who must sign up by May 4 in order to browse videos, booth content, and additional resources ahead of time.
According to CBP, its Office of Chief Counsel plays an important role in supporting national security efforts, enforcing immigration and customs laws, and addressing complex legal needs within one of the world’s largest law enforcement agencies. All positions require U.S. citizenship and are subject to federal hiring regulations.
Those seeking resume assistance or more information can join CBP's Talent Network or connect with a recruiter online through various platforms listed on the CBP Careers website. Additional recruitment events can also be found via CBP’s online event calendar.
