Sharon resident pleads guilty to cocaine and firearm charges in federal court

Bruce Lindsey, a resident of Sharon, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty on April 30 to firearm and drug trafficking offenses in federal court, according to United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address drug-related crime and illegal firearm possession. Federal law prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Lindsey, age 47, entered his plea before Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab. The court was informed that on March 20, 2025, Lindsey possessed cocaine base with the intent to distribute it and also had a firearm in connection with his drug trafficking activities after previously being convicted of a felony.

Judge Schwab set sentencing for September 1, 2026. The potential sentence includes at least five years up to life in prison and a fine of up to $1.5 million. The actual sentence will be determined according to the seriousness of the offenses and Lindsey's prior criminal history under federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting the case for the government. The investigation involved the Mercer County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The outcome underscores coordinated law enforcement efforts against repeat offenders involved in both narcotics distribution and illegal firearms possession.
