Bobby Boseman, also known as Killa B, was sentenced on April 30 to 235 months in federal prison for possessing cocaine with intent to distribute and maintaining a drug premises, according to United States Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon Jr.
The case highlights the serious consequences of violent criminal activity connected with drug distribution. Authorities say Boseman's actions not only involved drugs but also violence against vulnerable individuals.
Gorgon announced the sentence alongside Jennifer Runyan, Special Agent in Charge of the Detroit Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Terence Green, Chief of Police for Flint. U.S. District Court Judge F. Kay Behm imposed the sentence after Boseman pleaded guilty.
According to court documents, between February and August 2021, Boseman used his residence on Tebo Street in Flint as a location to manufacture and distribute cocaine. He led others who sold drugs from his home and allowed customers to use drugs there. Police recovered drugs, firearms, and large amounts of ammunition from the house on three occasions during this period.
During his arrest on August 3, 2021, police found two naked and injured women at the residence. The women reported that Boseman accused them of stealing drugs and kept them naked without food for days while beating them and forcing them into sexual acts. Both women had visible injuries; one suffered a collapsed lung while another's eyes were nearly swollen shut.
"Only a coward beats women. And only a pimp forces them to sell their bodies. This rapacious drug dealer treated these women worse than animals," said Gorgon.
"Make no mistake, the FBI will not tolerate those who invoke fear, violence, and exploitation in our communities," said Jennifer Runyan. "This defendant chose to torture women, distribute dangerous drugs, and inflict lasting harm through ruthless criminal actions." Runyan added that justice has been served with this sentence thanks to cooperation among law enforcement agencies including the FBI Flint Resident Agency team, Flint Police Department and Flint Area Narcotics Group (FANG).
The investigation was conducted by special agents from the FBI along with local police departments.
