Jaden D. Reiman, a 31-year-old resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced on April 23 in federal court in Omaha for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced that Chief United States District Court Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. ordered Reiman to serve 188 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release.
The sentencing highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to address drug trafficking and protect community safety through coordinated law enforcement actions across Nebraska.
According to case details released by Woods, investigators observed Reiman meeting with a known drug courier at an Omaha location on August 23, 2023. After the meeting and subsequent traffic stop, law enforcement discovered approximately 174 grams of actual methamphetamine concealed in a water bottle inside the vehicle where Reiman was a passenger. Investigators determined that Reiman had ordered the drugs from his supplier and intended to distribute some or all of them after receiving them from the courier.
The investigation revealed that this case is part of a larger conspiracy involving a Mexican source supplying methamphetamine through local couriers using communication apps such as TextNow for orders and deliveries in Omaha and Council Bluffs, Iowa.
