U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shared updates on its official X account on May 4, 2026, detailing recent enforcement activities at the border.
In a post published at 19:55 UTC, CBP stated: "Last week, agents at Santa Teresa Border Patrol Station were conducting patrol operations and found a man wandering Cristo Rey Mountain hiking trail. After a records check, it was revealed that he was an illegal alien with a full extradition warrant out of Dallas, Texas, for https://t.co/wm3xpkEIMo".
The agency also posted two additional messages on the same day. The first message appeared at 19:15 UTC and included only a link: "https://t.co/wBE0qITQt7". The second message was posted at 21:10 UTC and similarly contained only a link: "https://t.co/rPe5VxyR0M".
