Lewiston man charged with enticement for attempting to have sex with a 13-year-old girl

CJ A. Wolf of Lewiston, New York, was arrested and charged with enticement of a minor, U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced on May 6. The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of ten years in prison and a maximum sentence of life.

The case centers on events that took place in October 2025, when Wolf allegedly responded to an online advertisement posted by investigators for a purported minor female willing to meet in person for sex. According to the criminal complaint, Wolf began communicating via text message with an undercover law enforcement officer who was posing as someone arranging the meeting. Wolf was instructed to travel to a specific location where he believed he would be able to have sex with the purported 13-year-old girl.

Upon arrival at the designated retail parking lot, Wolf interacted directly with the undercover officer coordinating the encounter. During their conversation, Wolf confirmed he had $200 and agreed on “a half hour.” After further discussion, officers arrested him.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Franz M. Wright is prosecuting the case. The investigation involved both the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Philip Tejera and the New York State Police under Major Amie Feroleto.

"The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty," DiGiacomo said.
