United States Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that DESEAN CHRISTY, age 38, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced yesterday for violating the Federal Gun Control Act, Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1), 924(a)(2), and 924(c)(1)(A), and the Federal Drug Control Act, Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(C). CHRISTY was sentenced to 70 months of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and $300 total in mandatory special assessment fees.
