On July 18, ICE reported the conviction of Chase Anthony Young, a U.S. citizen from Dallas, for sex trafficking nine young women. According to the agency’s statement, “Chase Anthony Young, of Dallas, is U.S. citizen who SEX TRAFFICKED 9 YOUNG WOMEN. An ICE @HSI_HQ investigation led to Young’s arrest and conviction, and now he will spend 30 years in a federal prison where he can’t harm any more young women.” The post also directed readers to their newsroom for further information.
In another post dated July 19, ICE announced the deportation of Cermor Rio Boakai, described as a criminal illegal alien from Liberia convicted of multiple offenses. The tweet stated, “ICE DEPORTS SEX OFFENDER FROM LIBERIA ICE deported Cermor Rio Boakai, a criminal illegal alien convicted of: Second-degree criminal sexual conduct Fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct Fifth-degree assault DUI He legally entered the U.S. in March 1995 but was”. This action reflects ICE’s ongoing enforcement priorities regarding individuals with serious criminal convictions.
Later on July 19, ICE addressed broader concerns related to human trafficking during global sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup. In its message, the agency wrote, “ICE @HSI_HQ is a global leader in preventing human traffickers from profiting during major events like the #FIFAWorldCup2026 that can attract criminal networks seeking to exploit increased travel and commerce. You can help. Anyone can be a victim of sex and labor”. The agency emphasized its role in international anti-trafficking efforts and encouraged public vigilance.
