U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted a series of updates on its official Twitter account in early August 2026, detailing recent law enforcement actions and ongoing investigations.

On August 2, ICE reported the arrest of two individuals in a maritime operation conducted by Homeland Security Investigations San Juan and the Homeland Security Task Force National Capital Region. According to the agency’s post, “ICE @HSISanJuan and its @HSTFNCC partners arrested two alleged maritime smugglers attempting to transport narcotics by sea. 346 kilograms of cocaine, a vessel and a vehicle were seized in the operation. Subscribe to our newsroom for updates on this and other ongoing https://t.co/HQqKof5pP7” (August 2, 2026).

Later that day, ICE issued another update concerning an individual wanted for serious federal crimes. The agency stated, “Ruperto Salguiero-Nevarez, is a Mexican national wanted for Crimes against the United States as a member of the Salguiero-Nevarez Organization and a leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. https://t.co/VVt3jzmgzY” (August 2, 2026).

In a subsequent tweet on August 3, ICE highlighted an arrest involving an international fugitive: “Hungarian-Romanian criminal illegal alien Sebastian Mihai Caraba was allegedly up to his old tricks when our fugitive operations officers arrested him on June 10. The illegal alien was wanted in Fairfax, Va., for illegal use of credit cards. He will remain in ICE custody until https://t.co/0nx9D6Tao9” (August 3, 2026).

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is responsible for investigating cross-border crime and enforcing immigration laws within the United States.
