U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) published a series of posts on July 30, 2026, covering developments in a drug trafficking investigation, honoring a fallen agent, and making a statement about immigration policy under the Trump administration.
In an update regarding a major drug case, ICE reported the sentencing of Braulio Soto: “Drug trafficker and U.S. citizen Braulio Soto was sentenced to 7 ½ years July 24 in an ongoing drug trafficking organization probe by ICE HSI Corpus Christi and its @HSTFNCC partners. So far, the investigation has led to 34 state arrests, 11 federal indictments and nine federal” (July 30, 2026).
Later that day, ICE recognized the sacrifice of Special Agent Roger L. Von Amelunxen: “Today we honor New York City Special Agent in Charge Roger L. Von Amelunxen who was shot and killed in 1980 while trying to apprehend a suspect who robbed a cab driver. ICE remembers you and pledges its continued resolve to ensure public safety and national security. See his” (July 30, 2026).
In another post on July 30, ICE referenced immigration enforcement policies under President Donald Trump’s administration: “Under @POTUS Trump we’re putting American Patriots — not illegal aliens — behind the wheel.”
