U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted a series of updates on July 11, 2026, detailing recent enforcement actions and international cooperation efforts.
In the first update, ICE reported placing a detainer with the Dane County, Wisconsin jail for Ivan Aldair Canchola Garcia of Mexico. According to the agency’s post from July 11, 2026, “ICE placed a detainer with the Dane County, Wisc., jail against Ivan Aldair Canchola Garcia, of Mexico, after police say he stabbed his ex-girlfriend in the neck, armpit and shoulder blade while she was holding her 11-month-old daughter. Canchola Garcia faces multiple charges,” ICE stated.
In another message posted later that day at 12:00 UTC, ICE highlighted ongoing international partnerships. The agency wrote: “ICE HSI Attaché Ernest Verina and his team in Australia work closely with the Australian Federal Police, New Zealand Police, and partner agencies across the Pacific to disrupt transnational criminal networks profiting off illegal narcotics trafficking, child exploitation and”.
A third post from ICE on July 11 at 16:15 UTC described an enforcement action involving deportation. According to ICE’s account, “ICE deported Marcelo Narcizo-Cristobal, a previously deported Paisas gang member from Mexico, who was previously sentenced to 20 years for drug trafficking and 15 months for illegal reentry after removal. Under @POTUS, the U.S. is no longer a safe haven for drug traffickers.”
