News Release: WASHINGTON, Sept. 2, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) published today an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) to solicit comments and information regarding the labeling of meat and poultry products made using cultured cells derived from animals under FSIS jurisdiction. FSIS will use these comments to inform future regulatory requirements for the labeling of such food products.

News Release: Washington -The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) entered into a stipulation agreement with Billy and Tim Rowan, doing business as R&R Livestock (R&R Livestock) of New Albany, Miss., on Aug. 4, 2021, for violations of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act. Under the terms of the stipulation agreement, R&R Livestock waived its rights to a hearing and paid a penalty of $1,750.
