A Wolf Point woman was sentenced on July 15 to four years and eight months in prison, followed by four years of supervised release, for dealing methamphetamine out of Billings motel rooms, Acting U.S. Attorney Mark Steger Smith said.
Destinee Fate Rowe, 27, pleaded guilty in January 2026 to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. U.S. District Judge William W. Mercer presided over the case.
According to court documents, Rowe was on probation with the state of Montana when she began dealing methamphetamine in Billings. Law enforcement received information from an informant that Rowe was operating out of a room at the Vegas Hotel. A search of that room resulted in the discovery of an ounce and a half of methamphetamine. About a week later, investigators were tipped off again that Rowe had moved her operation to the Econo Lodge in Billings. Another search found another ounce and a half of methamphetamine in her room and vehicle; Rowe admitted she was selling it.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Godfrey prosecuted the case. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Billings Police Department conducted the investigation.
