News Release: PHOENIX - As part of an effort to expand recreation opportunities for public lands users, the Bureau of Land Management’s Lower Sonoran Field Office will temporarily close some public lands in the Sonoran Desert National Monument for construction of the Estrella-Wayside Recreation Area. The closure begins Aug. 17, 2022, and will be in effect for up to two years, or until construction is completed.

News Release: CHALLIS, Idaho - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is extending the comment period on a proposed site for the new Challis Field Office building through July 29. The BLM is considering the use of a parcel of BLM-managed public lands for the new field office location. Because the current office building is temporarily leased, the BLM is exploring opportunities to re-locate to a permanent location.
