News Release: Beginning Tuesday, July 19, through Friday, July 22, the Wild Basin Road in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closed to all uses, including vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians for road maintenance. This closure will occur at the Wild Basin Entrance Station and will include the entire two-mile section of the road to the Wild Basin Trailhead.

News Release: Park reopened Big Creek Trail following an eight-week closure for a trail rehabilitation project. The park trail crew made much needed improvements along the entire 5.6-mile Big Creek Trail by repairing the tread surface and removing hazard trees.

News Release: Fort Oglethorpe, GA: Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park continues its road construction project with the closure of Dyer Road, for two weeks, to complete paving on the southern end of Glenn Kelly Road. The southern portion of Glenn Kelly Road, as well as Poe Road, will remain closed during this period. Once complete, Poe Road and the southern end of Glenn Kelly Road will re-open.

News Release: ROSWELL, N.M. - Effective, July 6, at 8 a.m., the Bureau of Land Management will terminate all fire restrictions enacted by Fire Prevention Order #LLNMP02310-2022-003 on BLM administered public lands within Chaves, DeBaca, Eddy, Lea, Lincoln, Guadalupe, Quay, and Roosevelt counties.

News Release: LAS VEGAS - The Bureau of Land Management Las Vegas Field Office, will host two virtual information forums - July 19 and 20 -- to gather public input on the Golden Currant Solar Project proposed on approximately 4,364 acres of BLM-managed public land located in Clark County, Nevada, approximately five miles southeast of Pahrump and 26 miles west of Las Vegas. State Route 160 is less than two miles northeast of the site. The public input period will close August 5, 2022.

News Release: Mountainair, NM- A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 38.1 thousand visitors to Salinas Pueblo Missions NM in 2021 spent $2.5 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 35 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $3.3 million.
