Public Comment Sought on the Development of a Cumberland Parks Forest Pest Management Plan Environmental Assessment

News Release: The National Park Service is accepting public comments pertaining to development of the Cumberland Parks Forest Pest Management Plan Environmental Assessment (EA). The scoping period will begin July 1, 2012, and extend through Aug. 1, 2012. Comments will be used to assist the parks in developing and evaluating feasible alternatives and analyzing the environmental consequences of each alternative.


One Week Temporary Closure of Big Island Horse Trails

News Release: The National Park Service is in the process of plugging 14 orphaned wells in Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area through a cooperative agreement with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Water Pollution Control. As a result of this project, trails and roads associated with access to the wells may be closed temporarily.
