Mercer County Man Pleads Guilty To Possessing Child Pornography

News Release: BLUEFIELD, W.Va. - A 54-year old Mercer County man faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty today to possession of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin announced. David A. Punturi, of Bluefield, West Virginia entered a guilty plea before Senior United States District Court Judge David A. Faber.

Orlando Felon Sentenced For Possession Of Firearm And Impersonating A DEA Agent

News Release: Orlando, Florida -Senior U.S. District Judge Gregory A. Presnell today sentenced Benjamin William Mejias (43, Orlando) to 18 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and for impersonating a DEA agent. The court also ordered Mejias to forfeit a Glock.40 caliber pistol and ammunition that he possessed. Mejias pleaded guilty on Feb. 12, 2014.
