Conspirator Sentenced In Scheme To Embezzle Over $1 Million From A Co-Conspirator’s Employer

News Release: Greenbelt, Maryland - U.S. District Judge George J. Hazel sentenced Brian Hooper, age 42, of Woodbridge, Virginia, today to 27 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for conspiring to commit wire fraud in connection with a scheme to steal over $1 million from a consulting company. Judge Hazel entered an order that Hooper forfeit and pay restitution of $1,031,571.96, the loss resulting from his conduct.
