News Release: United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Cameron Ammons, age 24, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced February 8, 2017, by the Honorable Joseph F. Bataillon for attempting to rob a Centris Federal Credit Union branch. He was sentenced to two years in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release when his incarceration ends. He had previously pleaded guilty to the charge.


Henderson Man Sentenced To Over 10 Years For Possession Of Child Pornography

News Release: LAS VEGAS, Nev.-A Henderson, Nev., man was sentenced Thursday to 123 months in prison for possession of more than 600 images of child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney Daniel G. Bogden of the District of Nevada. As part of the sentencing, U.S. District Judge Lloyd D. George required the defendant to register as a sex offender.


Swanville Man Sentenced to  Time Served for Illegally Possessing Firearms

News Release: Bangor, Maine: United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that John T. Hines, 50, of Swanville, Maine was sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court by Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. to time served in prison (about 10 months) for unlawfully possessing firearms. He pled guilty to the charge on Aug. 30, 2016.


Reclamation Monitoring Hyrum Dam Due to High Reservoir Inflow

News Release: Hyrum, Utah - The Bureau of Reclamation is monitoring Hyrum Dam near Hyrum, Utah, due to unseasonably high reservoir inflow and likelihood of increased releases from the dam. As a precautionary measure, Reclamation issued an Emergency Action Plan Response Level I on Feb. 10, 2017, which is the least serious of the three response levels.
